Printing

  • Offset Printing is the most common printing process for high-volume commercial printing. In it, the desired image is etched or burned onto a metal plate. Then, ink is applied to the plate and then transferred (or offset) onto a rubber blanket and finally the printing surface. Offset printing is a good choice for high-volume work orders printed on a variety of surfaces.
  • Digital Printing is a good choice for clients wanting an extremely fast turnaround time. It can also be the most cost-effective of all the printing types, particularly for smaller print runs.
  • Raised Printing is accomplished through thermography. In thermography, the ink used has a special powder in it that will, when heated, fuse with the ink and create a raised effect similar to embossing. This can be a good choice for clients who want their printed item, like a business card or letterhead, to look particularly distinguished. We can help you decide if raised printing is right for your project—contact us!
  • Continuous Printing, which is printing on the surface of an unending reel of paper, can be an extremely time-efficient printing process, because paper does not have to be fed into the machine.

Embossing/Foil Stamping

Raise the quality of your printing project by—literally—raising the text or graphics. In embossing, pressure is used to create a relief, similar to the effect seen on credit cards. It can be an elegant choice for business cards, promotional items, and more.

Foil stamping is the application of special foils or pigments (usually metallic in color, though other color options exist) to the surface of the chosen material with a heated dye. Combined with embossing, foil stamping can have a dramatic visual effect.
